Monique Marks is President & CEO of historic Franklin-Wright Settlements, Inc. is a leading human services agency meeting the needs of families, child, and youth since 1881.. Monique is a proud graduate of Wayne State University with both a Masters and Bachelors of Science Degree in Social Work. Monique Marks is both licensed and certified in the field of social work. She served as a chairperson for the United Way of the Executive Retreat, she is a member of the Speaker’s Bureau for United Way and serves as an adjunct professor at Eastern Michigan University. She is a guest lecturer at Wayne State and a certified trainer for the academy of certified Social Work. Monique has dedicated her life to serving the community with a prolific professional career spanning over 20 years. With a tenure of 17 plus years with FWS she has held a myriad roles, most notably her appointment as President and CEO. An appointment she earned after just four years at the agency. Mrs. Marks has been committed to humanitarianism by advocating for the prevention, treatment and amelioration of social problems plaguing citizens of Detroit. Her efforts has been recognized by numerous civic entities and organizations. She is the recipient of the Spirit of Detroit Award, Legacy in Motion Award, Hometown Hero Award, and Outstanding Community Ambassador for Results Mentoring. She serves and participated on a multitude of Committees, Boards and Auxiliaries including Leadership Detroit, Midnight Golf, and Community Highlights.
