This is one in a series of profiles of 2019 graduates of ETS. Commencement ceremonies for the 2019 ETS graduating class is at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 1 in the sanctuary.

 

Minister Scharron A. Rambus I

 

ETS: What degree will you be receiving?

Rambus: Master of Divinity

 

ETS: What do you do now for work?

Rambus: I presently work for the City of Detroit Department of Transportation in the Service Development & Scheduling Department.

 

ETS: What are your goals/plans after graduation?

Rambus: My goals and plans after graduation is to be still and see the salvation of the Lord. Allowing him to lead me to my next destination.

 

ETS: Why did you choose ETS?

Rambus: I choose ETS because of the location and Ecumenical atmosphere.

 

ETS: How did you hear about ETS?

Rambus: A vender booth while attending Preaching Conference.

 

ETS: What was the best part of your experience at ETS?

Rambus: The best part of my experience at ETS was the exposure to other faith traditions and coming to the realization that we have more in common than differences.

 

ETS: And the worst?

Rambus: The 12 to 15 page term papers (LOL)

 

ETS: What would you tell anyone who asks, “Why go to seminary?”

Rambus: I would tell them that seminary will help equip the calling to effectively serve in ministry.
