The Gospel of Water in Detroit:
 Why Halting the Shutoffs is a Spiritual Matter

 Dr. James Perkinson will lead

 A Water Teach-In

 Tuesday, July 15, 2014
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This event is free and open to the public.

Thousands of Detroiters who have delinquent accounts have been scheduled for shutoffs in the coming months.  Scores of commercial, business and entertainment venues who owe tens of millions of dollars have been excluded. A Canadian group, the Council of Canadians, have blasted the Detroit plan.  The United Nations has called the action a "clear violation of human rights."  Dr. James Perkinson was among a group of citizens arrested by Detroit police on July 10 for protesting the shutoffs.  He has been released on bail.  Because of the severe consequences faced by families without access to water, more protests will follow as citizens become aware of the details and hardships caused by this tragic action.  Below you will find media link regarding the July 10, 2014.

I thirst — Jesus on the cross, dying” (John 19:28)

He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
3 He restores my soul;
