Minister Tanesha Stinson grew up on the West Side of the city of Detroit, was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 8 years old. Since then, she has been dedicated to serving God and her church through ministry work and spiritual employment. Tanesha matriculated through the Detroit Public Schools as she continued to serve her church faithfully as a child and teenager. She later graduated with honors from Communication and Media Arts High School in 2001. She then attended Henry Ford Community College and graduated with her Associate’s degree in Business. Through the inspiration of her mentor, Tanesha traveled to Tallahassee, Florida where she attended the Florida A&M University. In 2010, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

Tanesha moved back to Detroit in 2015 and was licensed to preach the Gospel in January of 2021 under the leadership of her Lead Pastor, Rev. QuanTez Pressley of the Third New Hope Baptist Church in Detroit. As she grew in ministerial leadership, Tanesha received an assignment from God to “gather the glory carriers”. The Holy Spirit led her to Isaiah 60:1 which says, “Arise, shine: for your light has come! And the GLORY of the Lord is risen upon you.” In August 2022, this “call to gather” inspired Tanesha to spearhead The Shine Initiative, a global non-profit designed to empower glory-carrying women to arise, lead, draw and inspire.

She is a Pastoral and Support Leader with a caring, encouraging and problem-solving impact on leaders of all ages. She leads through active listening, is committed to growth and seeks new ways to edify the body of Christ. Minister Tanesha loves leadership, entrepreneurship and serving her church and community. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree of Divinity at Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit. Tanesha has 2 wonderful children: Dawn and Davion.
