Jonathan C. Bibbs, a noted leader in education, ministry, and business, has been appointed as the new Director of Recruitment & Enrollment at Ecumenical Theological Seminary. Renowned for his creativity, entrepreneurial mindset, and commitment to community development, Bibbs brings a multifaceted approach to advancing the Seminary’s mission and growing its student body.

 

Bibbs’ career experience includes transformative leadership in education, highlighted by his tenure as Chief Executive Officer of Richmond Preparatory Academy. During his time there, he led the school through an unprecedented 300% increase in enrollment by implementing cutting-edge strategies in operations, technology, and institutional advancement. Under his guidance, Richmond Prep became a cornerstone of educational excellence in Virginia’s capital city, with an expanded donor base and robust community partnerships.

 

In addition to his accomplishments in education, Bibbs is an accomplished entrepreneur. In 2021 he established Commonwealth Solutions Group (CSG), a thriving real estate advisory firm that specializes in training and supporting residential real estate professionals. Through innovative coaching programs and personalized mentorship, Bibbs has helped real estate professionals elevate their practices and achieve breakthrough success. His ability to foster growth and inspire excellence has made CSG a trusted name in real estate the Mid-Atlantic region.

 

A seasoned worship leader with over three decades of music-ministry experience, Jonathan has enriched congregations across Virginia, including Remnant Church, Fifth Street Baptist, Sixth Baptist Church, and Third Baptist Church. He is dedicated to cultivating vibrant worship environments that bridge traditions, cultural and generational divides to enhance and deepen congregational worship.

 

Bibbs’ contributions to music and community development earned him the prestigious “Virginia Community Maker” designation by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia. His artistry and leadership demonstrate his passion for using creativity to inspire and connect people across boundaries.

 

In his new role at ETS, Jonathan is set to leverage his diverse background to develop innovative recruitment strategies, forge meaningful partnerships with church and community leaders, and create a seamless, supportive enrollment experience. “Whether it’s through education, ministry, or entrepreneurship, my goal has always been to uplift and empower people,” Bibbs said. “I am excited about the role at ETS because it allows me to bring all of the diverse threads of my experience together to help usher in a new generation of leaders for the Kingdom of God.”
