Dr. Henry Wells III

Dr. Henry Wells III serves as the Executive Director of Westside Christian and the Senior Pastor of New Beginnings Fellowship Church. He holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from William Tyndale College, an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Ecumenical Theological Seminary. In addition to Dr. Wells’ dissertation research, he has conducted post-graduate research at Wayne State University on the topic, The Reaction of the Black Church in Response to the Social Conditions of Urban Youth, and as a site researcher for Howard University School of Divinity on the topic of, Equipping the Saints: A Study of Black Congregational Life.

His professional experience expands over 35+ years of working in non-profit, faith-based organizations and 12 years of teaching in post-secondary education. For the past ten years, he has served as a senior pastor and educational leader in K-12 Urban Christian education.

​

Henry and his wife, Deborah Denise Wells, have been married for 33 years. They are the proud parents of two children, Robert J. Wells, and Melanie Elizabeth Wells.
