Christmas and Holiday Greetings

It seems somewhat surreal that in a few days we will enter the third decade of the 21st century.  You may remember the anticipated Y2K computer software problems as we approached the year 2000.  Many feared potential software and system failures and spent millions.

We have all experienced many changes in our families, churches, personal, professional and spiritual lives.  ETS’s journey has included highs and lows, joys and sorrows, times of great hope and moments of challenging reflection.  Through it all, ETS continues negotiating the complex challenges of today’s theological landscape.

As we celebrate our Savior’s birth, His coming to earth brought new hope of salvation and good will to humankind and the planet.  The gospel message was welcomed with open arms by many and was rejected by others.  Isaiah prophesied the good news of Jesus’ coming, signaling a new day was coming:

6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;

And the government will rest on His shoulders;

And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. (NASB)

New Beginnings” is our theme, and we embrace Luke’s joyous announcement of Christ’s birth in Luke 2:14

:

14 “Glory to God in the highest,

And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”

Blessings, Grace and Peace during this Joyous Season!
